 JFRocks Video playback tip

Got a couple emails from some folks who are having trouble with video play back and thought I would help.

If you are watching a video such as "And the cradle will drop" for example and Jeff's lips don't sync up with his voice, that's a sign that your processor is having problems keeping up with the fast video or it's a graphics issue in your machine. It isn't our video.

The fix for this issue is very simple. Follow my instructions below and your problem should be solved.

In windows media player 10 or 11..( in other words, "open windows media player")

1. Click Tools (from the top menu options in media player)

2. Select options from the "Tools" drop down menu

3. Select the performance tab ( there will be many tabs, performance is one of them)

4. On the performance tab screen you will see a slider called "Video Acceleration." Move the "Video acceleration" slider to the middle position. You should not need to go all the way to the left with it, so try the middle position first.

You can also customize the buffer size that the video downloads to, just above the slider. I recommend 60 seconds of buffer.

The more important adjustment is the "performance slider" detailed above. Media player defaults to the full acceleration position which is all the way to the right.

Moving the slider to the middle position as I suggest will solve most of your play back problems "IF" you're having some. If you're not having problems don't move the slider.

These issues are processor issues and or video card issues i.e. graphics etc. and not issues with our videos. Our videos play fine.

We watch them first both online and offline before you see them. If you're one to do so, please don't be so quick to blame our videos for your computer's lack of graphics acceleration or processor speed. LOL ;) Jeff would never allow me to upload a video to our public server that didn't play properly and sync up nicely.

The simple fix I give in this post should help those of you who are having issues.

Just another helpful tip from your friendly neighborhood Kelly.

;)

Enjoy the site.
